Bastian Casaretto – cut with style!

Er ist ein (Wahl)Berliner. Cool, entspannt, lässig – soweit erfüllt Bastian Casaretto die Kriterien eines typischen Hauptstadt-Kreativen. Dass er eine steile Karriere als international gefragter Hairstylist gemacht hat und seit 2008 die Position des Aveda Artistic Director Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz innehat, war allerdings nicht abzusehen, als er bereits mit 15 Jahren seine Ausbildung zum Friseur begann. Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss ging Bastian nach London, um sich an der dortigen Vidal Sassoon Academy weiterzubilden. Anschließend war er für verschiedene Salons in der britischen Metropole tätig, bis er wieder zu Sassoon wechselte und dort acht Jahre als Creative Director blieb. Er war maßgeblich am Aufbau des Seminarsystems beteiligt und im Showbereich europaweit tätig. Nach einem Zwischenstopp bei Wella brachten ihn sein Talent und seine langjährige Erfahrung schließlich zu Aveda. Dort fließen seine Ideen und Visionen in die Philosophie und die kreativen Prozesse der Marke ein. Wichtige Inspirationen für ihn sind die Architektur und Museumsbesuche. Er sagt, dass er oft von einer Form fasziniert ist und dann darüber nachdenke, wie diese mit dem Material Haar umgesetzt werden kann. Trotz aller Verpflichtungen ist es ihm ein wichtiges Anliegen, auch im Salon zu arbeiten: „Man darf nie den Bezug zum Gast verlieren.“

Bastian Casaretto ist ein charismatischer Bühnenakteur, der neue Impulse setzt. Außerdem repräsentiert er das internationale Unternehmen im deutschsprachigen Raum und unterstützt den Ausbau der Aveda Academy in Berlin.

He is a Berliner by choice: cool, relaxed, laid-back – to this extent Bastian Casaretto meets all the criteria of a typical city creative. But that he would shoot up the career ladder to become an internationally sought-after hairstylist, holding the position of Aveda Artistic Director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland since 2008 was surprising even for him when he started his education as a hairdresser at only fifteen.  After successfully completing his training, Bastian went to London to pursue further training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. Subsequently working for various different salons in the UK capital, he ultimately moved back to Sassoon, spending eight years there as Creative Director. He played a definitive part in shaping the seminar system, and worked in shows throughout Europe. After a short period with Wella, his talent and many years of experience finally drew him to Aveda. Here his ideas and vision flowed into the philosophy and creative processes of the brand. He is drawing much inspiration from architecture and visits to museums. Bastian says that he is often fascinated by a form, and will then reflect on how this could be created using hair as the material. Despite all his many commitments, it is also really important for him to work in the salon: “You must never lose touch with your clients.”

Bastian Casaretto is a charismatic player on the big stage who inspires new ideas. He represents Aveda in the German-speaking countries and supports the expansion of the Aveda Academy in Berlin.
